Over-the-Counter Benefits

For 2023, Senior Health Plan:

  • Silver (MA Only), Platinum and Platinum Plus have a $50 quarterly Over the Counter benefit.
  • Silver Plus has a $40 quarterly Over the Counter benefit.

Retiree groups may have a different OTC benefit. Refer to your Benefit Grid for details about your plan or call Customer Service.

OTC medications are trusted as a first line of defense in treating minor ailments, help reduce doctor visits and save you money. Senior Health Plan is committed to providing this program to you as a benefit to help you live a healthy lifestyle and improve the quality of your life.

  • How do I order?
    You can order online, via app, by phone or mail and your selected OTC items will be delivered by mail to your door.

    Unused OTC dollars do not roll over to the next quarter. You may spend above your quarterly amount if you want and pay out of pocket for the difference.

    To order:

    • By app: To place an order through the MyBenefits app search “MyBenefits” in the App Store or Google Play.
    • If this is your first time placing an order online, you will need to create an account by registering on the MyBenefits portal or the MyBenefits app. If you already created an account, simply log in and select the items you would like to order. Once you’re ready to place your order, click “Checkout.”

    • By mail:

      Please Note: Order forms should be mailed before the 20th of the month to ensure the order total is applied to the current benefit period. We encourage you to place an order online or by phone if the end of your benefit period is approaching. Please do not send cash or checks in the mail.


  • How do I receive my order?
    Items will be delivered to your home address by mail.
  • How often can I order?
    You may order once per quarter, up to four times per year (January to March; April to June; July to September; October to December).
  • How much is the benefit?

Members on a Medicare Retiree group plan may have different benefits. Check your plan year benefit grid or call Customer Service with questions. Be sure to let us know what retiree group you are with.
