Vision Benefits

Your vision exams have no copay – whether it’s for a medical condition such as glaucoma or your annual routine eye exam (available once each year).

You also have an eyewear benefit - you can get prescription eyewear (glasses and/or contact lenses) once every two years at no cost up to the $200 plan benefit limit. Members needing eyewear post cataract surgery pay nothing for eyewear. See your Evidence of Coverage ( Deluxe , Premier and Choice ) for more information on your vision benefits.

No referral is needed for your eye exams — you can find contracted optometrists & ophthalmologists in our online directory . Or, if you need assistance, you can call Customer Service and we’ll help you find a doctor near you. Remember to show your ID card at your appointment.

Members on a Medicare Retiree group plan may have different benefits. Check your plan year benefit grid or call Customer Service with questions. Be sure to let us know what retiree group you are with.
